Clinical Placements
Students in UNC Charlotte’s Master’s School Counseling Program must complete three clinical experiences: Practicum (100 hours), Internship I (300 hours), and Internship II (300 hours). Students may choose the school districts in which they complete their practicum and internships or receive assistance from faculty members in finding sites. Placements can be in public or private schools at elementary, middle, or high school levels. Students are encouraged to complete at least two of their clinical experiences at different school levels to obtain a range of school counseling experiences.
